Job Description:

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is responsible for contributing to the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems while leveraging technical application skills, with an emphasis on ETL processes and cloud solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups to recommend programming solutions and support customer exposure systems
Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues
Conduct testing and debugging
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
Identify problems, analyze information, and recommend solutions
Support the management and optimization of Ab Initio ETL infrastructure on Unix/Linux platforms
Participate in the migration of Ab Initio ETL workflows and data pipelines to cloud-native solutions
Assist in the design and implementation of hybrid ETL solutions
Contribute to the management of the Ab Initio environment and cloud alternatives
Participate in EME administration, code migration tasks, and environment checkouts

Requirements:

2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

Experience with Ab Initio infrastructure
Knowledge in cloud-based ETL solutions such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow
Skills in Shell/Unix scripting
Experience in cloud automation tools
Familiarity with hybrid ETL solutions
Understanding of Unix/Linux platforms
