Job Description

The Apps Sup Tech Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals

Requirements

  • 10+ years Proven and practical experience of in a production support role managing enterprise-level applications, demonstrating strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated experience with SRE practices, including advanced monitoring, alerting, incident response, post-mortems, and driving automation for operational efficiency and system reliability
  • Deep expertise in Unix/Linux environments and advanced Shell scripting
  • Proficiency with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics) and log aggregation platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK)
  • Practical experience with containerization platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
  • Hands-on experience with relational (Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
  • Strong knowledge of messaging solutions (e.g., Tibco EMS, MQ, Kafka)
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of distributed application architecture, including networks, load balancers, storage, and authentication (AD/LDAP)
  • Working knowledge and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and principles
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, models, and tools, coupled with practical experience in leveraging AI-driven tools to support and optimize applications
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to diverse technical and business audiences
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including experience leading or contributing to requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects, always maintaining a service-oriented approach
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
