Job Responsibility

  • Perform database administration tasks of MSSQL and open source databases
  • Provide day-to-day application support and maintenance for the ICC and partners
  • Resolve in a timely manner Tier-2 application issues and escalate Tier-3 issues to designated focal points
  • Assist in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new releases in accordance with established configuration management standards
  • Assist in the deployment of tools and in the implementation of processes to assist in operational support
  • Assist in responding to application-related queries from end users in remote locations
  • Perform knowledge transfers to Tier-1 and trainings end users on the usage of applications
  • Assist in the development and in the updating of software applications related documentation, including technical documentation and system reports, attend operational and other meetings
  • Provide standby and on-call 24×7 support, and work in shifts when requested
  • Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full-time basis upon request from the senior management
  • Perform other duties, as required

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in application maintenance and general IT support
  • Excellent knowledge of Database Management
  • Minimum of three years of experience administering SQL and Windows
  • High school diploma
  • Very good knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required

Nice to have

  • Good working knowledge of client/server applications in a Windows environment and .Net applications
  • Good Working knowledge of Power Platform, Office 365 and SharePoint Online
  • Familiarity with United Nations policy framework for International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) or compliant operational concepts and processes
  • Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable
  • Certifications and advanced training in Microsoft technologies
  • Certification and familiarity with ITIL concepts and processes
