Job Description:

Data Solutions Technology strives to deliver high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective reference data solutions for Citi. The Application Support Senior Analyst role involves supporting various reconciliation tools and contributing to the onboarding of a next-generation platform while working with advanced technologies like Hadoop, Unix, Python, and more. It includes troubleshooting, maintaining and optimizing applications, and working closely with operations and technical teams.

Job Responsibility:

Provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications
Maintains application systems that have completed the development stage
Manages, maintains and supports applications and their operating environments
Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
Perform same day risk reconciliations
Develop and maintain technical support documentation
Identifies ways to maximize the potential of the applications used
Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management
Ensures that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly
Formulates and defines scope and objectives for complex application enhancements
Reviews and develops application contingency planning
Partners with appropriate development and production support areas
Participate in application releases, from development through deployment
Engages in post implementation analysis
Considers implications of the application of technology
Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues
Ensures essential procedures are followed and helps define standards
Acts as a liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups and vendors
Raises problems to appropriate teams while adhering to Service Level Agreements
Acts as advisor or coach to new analysts
Provides evaluative judgment in unique situations
Active involvement in Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives.

Requirements:

Experience in an Application Support role
Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
Demonstrated analytical skills
Issue tracking and reporting using tools
Knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
Good all-round technical skills
Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
Ability to plan and organize workload
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholder
Good SQL experience in any of the RDBMS
Autosys / Any other schedulers will be of added advantage
UNIX shell scripting, Python / PERL will be of added advantage but not essential
Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems
Experience using/troubleshooting Office with emphasis on Word, Excel
Knowledge / working experience of ITRS Active Console/other monitoring tools
Knowledge / working experience of TLM or any other reconciliation tool is preferable.
