Job Description:

The Apps Support Sr Analyst is responsible for production management of Global Spread Products (GSP) applications. The role involves providing L1/L2 support, driving stability initiatives, automating processes, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure system reliability and performance. The candidate will contribute to critical business operations by ensuring application effectiveness, supporting trading systems, and addressing risks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide L1/L2 production management for mission-critical & GSP applications
  • Maintain production applications that have completed the development stage
  • Work closely with development, infra teams, QA, and business support teams
  • Streamline and automate existing processes
  • Own, coordinate, communicate and execute disaster recovery testing
  • Analyze applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities, performance, and stability issues
  • Create knowledge base documentation
  • Provide technical support coverage to all GSP applications
  • Perform diagnostic and forensic investigation for outages
  • Champion stability initiatives for application high availability
  • Perform incident/problem resolution and escalation when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years experience in an Application Support role
  • Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
  • Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
  • Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
  • Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools
  • Knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
  • Good all-round technical skills
  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
  • Ability to plan and organize workload
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders
  • Exposure to UNIX (AIX/ Linux), Databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), scripting languages (Python, Shell, Java/javascript, Perl)
  • Willingness to learn, self-motivated.

Nice to have:

  • Fixed income business knowledge/understanding
  • Experience in supporting Sales and Trading, Risk and Trade Management Platforms or similar systems
  • High level understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with ITRS Geneos, Appdynamics or alternate APM/Monitoring tools
  • Knowledge/experience of incident, Change and problem Management procedures.
