Job Description:

The Apps Sup Tech Lead Analyst is responsible for providing technical leadership, advanced problem-solving, and strategic oversight in application support. The role involves partnering with teams across the organization to ensure system integration, resolving complex issues, and minimizing risks while driving operational improvements.

Job Responsibility:

Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals
identify and define necessary system enhancements
analyze existing system logic, identify problems, and recommend and implement solutions
provide expertise in apps support
formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex, high impact application enhancements and problem resolution
document requirements
partner with technology areas and management teams
work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to determine and document system impacts and support requirements
identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues
communicate impact and propose risk mitigation options
act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
allocate work
provide in-depth analysis to define problems and develop innovative solutions
impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions
persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills.

Requirements:

6-10 years experience
practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills
demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
service oriented attitude
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
experience working or leading requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects at one-time
proficient using basic technical tools and systems
good interpersonal and communication skills
hands-on experience in Hadoop/Big Data technologies like HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, YARN, Sentry, Oozie, Kafka
good SQL experience in any of the RDBMS
familiarity with Sybase/Oracle/MSSQL databases
experience with scheduler/monitoring tools like Autosys/CONTROL-M or ITRS Active Console
programming knowledge in UNIX shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, Java
strong social, positive, can-do attitude to quickly learn and take initiative
ability to communicate well at all levels and work under stress and time constraints.

Nice to have:

OS/Administration Certifications
programming skills in Perl scripting, C or C++, C#, .Net, HTML5
familiarity with advanced query writing and debugging
experience analyzing bottlenecks on Big Data clusters and implementing best practices
familiarity with other schedulers and monitoring tools.
