The Application Support Delivery Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity.
Job Responsibility:
Management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas
Lead and direct a team of professionals
Translate high-level goals into actionable technical plans
Manage priorities and balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic initiatives
Manage full program lifecycle including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking progress
Establish operational excellence and drive continuous improvement
Build strong relationships and negotiate effectively across organizational boundaries
Evaluate third-party solutions and define technical requirements for external integrations
Management of people, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations
Assess risk when business decisions are made
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technical roles
At least 3-5 years in a direct leadership or senior management capacity
Expert-level proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana)
Master's degree or relevant certifications (PMP, CSM, ITIL Expert) preferred
Senior to advanced level experience in an Apps Support role with commensurate experience in people management
Experience with senior stakeholder management
Project management with demonstrable results in improving IT services
Capacity Planning/Forecasting exposure a plus
Ability to plan and organize workload
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's/University degree
