We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to provide Level 2 functional and technical support across Master Data Management, market data platforms, pricing services, and risk management systems. This role acts as a bridge between IT and business teams, supporting users across Trading, Risk, Middle Office, Accounting, and related functions. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, a good understanding of commodities trading and market data workflows, and the ability to support data quality, integrations, curve management, and risk analytics processes. The role also contributes to data governance, operational data quality initiatives, continuous improvement, documentation, and user support in a global, cross-functional environment.
Job Responsibility
Investigate and resolve data integration issues across MDM, risk, pricing, and market data systems through root cause analysis and corrective or preventive actions
Provide Level 2 support for market data platforms, including curve management, forward curve configuration, data feed troubleshooting, and user access management
Monitor data quality, coordinate data cleansing activities, and validate market data accuracy against source systems such as exchanges and market data providers
Support risk management processes including P&L reporting, VaR calculations, position management, exposure monitoring, and data feed troubleshooting
Enforce data governance rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across supported systems
Perform advanced troubleshooting using middleware logs, payload simulation tools, SQL queries, and XML/JSON interpretation
Support curve publishing workflows to downstream systems such as risk and accounting platforms
Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Middle Office, Accounting, IT, infrastructure, support teams, and external vendors
Contribute to non-regression testing, UAT, continuous improvement initiatives, user guides, runbooks, and SOPs
Provide regular status updates on incidents, data quality metrics, and project progress
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in data management, market data, risk systems, application support, or a related support function
Strong understanding of commodities trading, market data concepts, forward curves, spot prices, price indices, and settlements
Knowledge of Master Data Management principles and data governance practices
Understanding of risk management concepts such as VaR, P&L attribution, position management, and exposure reporting
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with SQL, XML, JSON, middleware logs, and integration flows
Experience with API testing or payload simulation tools such as SOAP UI and Postman
Familiarity with SDLC concepts for business applications
Experience using ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills for data analysis and reporting
Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
Nice to have
Experience with market data platforms such as ZEMA or similar tools
Familiarity with Python for data analysis or troubleshooting
Exposure to Databricks, Power BI, Azure, AWS, or similar data/cloud platforms
Familiarity with ERP integrations such as SAP or Oracle
Understanding of finance processes and global business operating models
