The Apps Support Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Job Responsibility:
Provide hands-on support for backend and data applications deployed on Unix-like operating systems
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations
Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks, enhance system monitoring, and facilitate efficient incident resolution
Perform deep-dive analysis of application logs and system metrics to identify root causes of problems
Execute and interpret complex database queries to assist in troubleshooting, data analysis, and reporting
Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes, enhancements, and operational best practices
Participate in on-call rotation and incident management processes as required
Requirements:
Proven experience in support or development roles on LINUX
Ability to write and debug basic, or Python scripts for automation and system management
Solid experience in writing and interpreting SQL queries, particularly with Oracle and/or DB2 databases
Comfortable reading, analyzing, and interpreting various application and system log files for effective problem diagnosis
Desired experience supporting or developing Java applications deployed on Websphere and/or Weblogic application servers
Basic knowledge and understanding of tools such as Autosys, AppDynamics, Splunk, ITRS, and microservices architectures
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
Experience with ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management
Familiarity with BIG DATA technologies and concepts
