As a key technical advisor and product advocate, you will be the technical architect and project lead for our most significant enterprise partnerships. You will own the end-to-end technical implementation of Formlabs stereolithography (SLA) technology at high volume dental customers. This role requires a blend of hands-on engineering, software integration, and strategic project management to displace legacy manufacturing workflows with Formlabs solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Design and execute alternative production workflows to replace existing competitor implementations at scale
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including part quality validation, yield metrics, and post-processing steps like thermoforming and centrifugal spinning
Lead API development and integration to connect Formlabs hardware with existing customer software infrastructures for automated plant operation
Understand customer end goals, such as cost per part or time from order to ship, and provide creative solutions to optimize the end goals
Implement custom scripts (e.g., Python) to automate file processing, batching, nesting, and print queue management
Debug and resolve software edge cases, such as partial build handling and artifact extrusion heights
Design and validate manufacturing jigs and fixtures using CAD to streamline part removal and workflow efficiency
Maximize system uptime by developing comprehensive maintenance plans, Standard Operating Procedures, and identifying expected failure modes for high-volume printer fleets
Customize off-the-shelf hardware and resin delivery systems to meet specific customer production requirements
Own the project lifecycle from initial requirement gathering and scope definition through to full-scale production deployment
Manage on-site pilot programs, providing rapid in-situ troubleshooting and technical support during critical deployment phases
Collaborate across functional teams, acting as the primary technical liaison between the customer, 3rd party integrators, and internal engineering leads
Train and mentor onsite field service engineers and customer operators to ensure long-term solution sustainability
