Job Responsibility:
Building Large-Scale Systems: Help us design and engineer systems that can scale to manage high volumes of transactions efficiently and effectively
Developing Products Our Customers Love: Iterating from an idea to the final solution, shaping, building, testing, and measuring the performance of the features our customers love
API and Service Development: Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Mollie’s engineering teams
Autonomy and Ownership: Lead technical initiatives from architecture design to implementation, ensuring engineering excellence throughout the process
Problem-Solving: Utilize your creative problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to resolve complex issues and contribute to our mission of making financial processes effortless
Engineering Excellence: Own the code quality and engineering excellence and best practices of our systems
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in developing large-scale applications, preferably with PHP or Java
Experience with Go, C#, or Python is also valued but you are willing to work with PHP or Java
Experience in designing systems and handling queuing, caching, concurrency, fault tolerance and scalability
Excellent communication skills, with experience working effectively with various stakeholders
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ideas with a product-first approach, as well as analyse and resolve complex issues
