Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring that application development initiatives align with business goals and technical requirements. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing the full software development lifecycle and working closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end application development projects from planning and requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support
  • Collaborate with software developers, QA teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on schedule
  • Track project progress, manage risks and issues, and communicate status updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Facilitate Agile or Waterfall project management processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and project reviews when applicable
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation
  • Ensure quality standards, documentation, and testing processes are followed throughout the development lifecycle
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party development partners when applicable
  • Support change management, user adoption, and post-deployment improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience in software or application development environments
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience managing Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall development projects
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Nice to have

  • PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications
  • Experience working with cloud-based applications, APIs, or enterprise platforms
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or MS Project
  • Experience managing cross-functional distributed teams
