Job Description:

Senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Must be experienced hands-on engineer who is passionate about solving business, customer, and technology problems through innovation and perseverance.

Job Responsibility:

Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs
Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation
Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming
Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
Writing mission critical code, design and design reviews, code reviews, and process automation
Ensure on time, on budget, high quality deliveries
Understand and influence software design & architecture for simplicity, resiliency, and performance
Handle Production Releases and postproduction support
Stakeholder management and ability to liaise well with Engineering, QA and Product/Business throughout SDLC lifecycle
Groom the team on technical, functional and behavioral aspects

Requirements:

6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Experience implementing Kafka consumers, producers, and streaming applications
Familiarity with messaging technologies like TIBCO EMS and IBM MQ
Experience with secure file transfer protocols (SFTP)
Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases
Hands-on experience with MongoDB preferred
Familiarity with relational databases
Experience working in Agile environment using TDD/BDD best practices
Proficiency with JUnit and Mockito for unit and integration testing
Proficiency with Git/Bitbucket for version control
Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to take ownership, collaborate effectively, and communicate technical concepts clearly
Experience in MQ, TIBCO
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
