Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Python Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will specialize in developing and maintaining high-performance, secure, and scalable Python microservices for our critical audit, risk, and governance platforms. You will be instrumental in building the backbone of our financial services infrastructure, working within a cloud-native, containerized environment. This role demands a strong focus on security, compliance, and reliability to deliver robust solutions in a global banking context.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and deploy resilient Python-based microservices and full-stack applications using modern frameworks
  • Build and maintain clean, secure, and well-documented RESTful APIs to support various front-end and backend systems
  • Implement asynchronous and concurrent programming techniques to create high-performance, low-latency backend services
  • Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them in a Kubernetes environment with Helm
  • Drive CI/CD and release automation initiatives using Git, Tekton, Harness, and other enterprise tools to ensure smooth and frequent deployments
  • Collaborate with middleware engineering teams on the configuration and management of WebSphere Liberty, WAS ND, IBM HTTP Server, and Apache
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools like Ansible
  • Uphold stringent security and compliance standards, managing SSL/TLS certificates, implementing vulnerability remediation plans, and using tools like CyberArk
  • Set up and maintain monitoring and observability solutions with AppDynamics and the ELK stack to ensure system health and performance
  • Provide expertise in migrating applications to on-premises cloud platforms and AWS

Requirements

  • Languages/Frameworks: Python with good experience in FastAPI, Flask, and Django
  • Architecture: Deep understanding of full-stack development, microservices architecture and backend service development
  • Cloud Platforms: Proven experience with on-premises cloud provisioning, application migration, and familiarity with new cloud platforms
