Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Application Architect to provide technical leadership and strategic direction within the application domain for a long-term contract position. Based in Columbus, Ohio, this role involves designing, evolving, and governing application frameworks while aligning with enterprise architecture objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain application architecture and roadmaps to guide technical direction and decision-making
  • Design, document, and oversee frameworks and platforms for use by technical teams across the organization
  • Ensure alignment of application architecture strategy with enterprise target state architecture and promote its adoption
  • Govern the application domain by communicating best practices and emerging trends to stakeholders and teams
  • Establish and maintain standards for design leadership, documentation, and stakeholder communication within the architecture program
  • Evaluate and recommend products and solutions to address architectural needs within the domain
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of application flows and processes to support senior leadership and technical teams
  • Mentor delivery staff by providing guidance on technical challenges and fostering growth in their skills and expertise
  • Lead teams effectively, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration to achieve project objectives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with branch systems technology, including batch and backend integration
  • Proven ability to review documents critically and provide thoughtful input during collaboration
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict documentation standards
  • High level of confidence with demonstrated ability to build credibility and establish effective relationships
  • Familiarity with architectural diagramming tools, such as Archimate, and experience in Agile methodologies
