Job Responsibility

  • Provide HL7 setup, testing and support for integrations though Epic Bridges and HealthConnect interface engine
  • Provide support for FHIR API and/or X12 integration
  • Analyzes moderately complex business problems and constructs practical solutions for project stakeholders
  • Translates conceptual design business solutions into detailed application interface specifications
  • Provides input into project timelines
  • Develops and executes detailed test plans
  • Constructs documentation necessary for change control, maintenance and support of application interfaces
  • Works independently with moderate supervision and can manage less complex projects consistently
  • Participates in 24×7 production support “on call” rotation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field
  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in Application integration utilizing interface engine technology
  • Thorough understanding of industry standard message formats (e.g., HL7, X12, FHIR or XML)
  • Some knowledge and experience in communication protocols (TCP/IP, FTP), relational database management or network management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Epic Bridges certification is required
  • Team members will obtain within 6 months and maintain annual educational requirements for EPIC certification(s) as required by department
