Job Description:

As part of Bark’s transformation from a Lead Generation platform to a fully-fledged Services Marketplace, we are looking for an experienced growth hacker or product-led growth (PLG) expert to drive a step change in adoption of our consumer App adoption (both iOS and Android). We want our app to become the primary destination for anyone looking to hire a Professional and get jobs done. You will set the strategy for app growth, working with Product leadership to identify where it should sit within our Consumer journey, and our overall approach to driving adoption. You will identify opportunities to organically drive traffic both from our existing experiences, whether on-product or via our marketing, or from creating new experiences or organic approaches that can boost our traction. Understanding how this should differ for new vs. existing users is also going to be key.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define a Consumer app growth strategy - set the direction to grow our organic engagement share through adoption and usage of our Consumer app. Communicate this across our organisation to drive alignment and magnify your impact
  • Own our App growth roadmap - identify and prioritise opportunities across our business to grow app adoption, in line with your strategy
  • Deep understanding of our users and UX - build deep expertise in the Bark marketplace - our strategy, our journeys and our users. Apply the quant and qual insights that come out of this to shape the path to growth
  • Delivery and impact - explore hands-on solutions whilst influencing across our business to deliver on your plans. Clear communication and thoughtful rationale will be critical to success
  • Evangelise our App - represent our Consumer app in conversations across Bark. Inspire others to start thinking “App-first”, and be clear what that means

Requirements:

  • Track record of successfully employing PLG and growth hacking techniques to drive significant increases in usage and stickiness of a Consumer-facing mobile app
  • Experience in defining growth strategies, and effectively communicating them across an organisation
  • Highly effective collaborator, capable of influencing across teams and functions to deliver results
  • Supremely confident with data, qual and quant, to derive insights that can inform decision-making and prioritisation
  • A demonstrable self-starter that can get ideas off the ground and build momentum around them
  • Experience working with Marketplace products (and the associated complexities) a plus
