APAC Prime Synthetics Middle Office Analyst

• Provide dedicated support for Synthetics trading desk within Equity Financing Group
• Take ownership of day-to-day functions and ensuring operational control requirements are met
• Monitor all control reports, exceptions, and queries are resolved in a timely manner
• Work with Trading, Trader Assistant, Product Control and Market Risk on resolving any queries
• Engage with Project and IT teams on all projects and UAT sessions
• Actively question and challenge existing practices / procedures and make improvement suggestions
• Engage with Regulatory Control and be aware of all regulatory requirements
• Engage with Internal Audit and Risk & Control on all control processes
• Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years relevant experience in trade support or middle office function
• Excellent communication skills, experience dealing with traders and management preferred
• Proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Asia equities markets, ETF, and equity derivative products including equity swap
