Job Description

This role is embedded within a multi-disciplinary team providing a coordinated approach to credit analysis, reporting & credit application decisioning for the APAC financial services. This role will assess the wholesale and off-book risk and credit exposure of FS managed portfolio for many markets of APAC. The person in the role will work closely with senior management teams across Capital and Brand. Also, responsible for handling projects and issues related to wholesale credit systems for entire APAC region. This role will ensure credit quality and integrity is maintained across all credit submissions in line with all wholesale credit underwriting principles, policies & compliance procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for wholesale credit underwriting for dealers, distributors, and direct customers for APAC market
  • Financial statement analysis of customers and assess overall credit worthiness and identify underlying credit risk
  • Formulate, implement and update credit risk policies & guideline in line ensuring the same is aligned to industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Understand country specific policies, procedures, regulations, and compliances
  • Communicate policy changes to the relevant stake holders and provide training as needed
  • Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, identifying stress segments and early warning signals
  • Administer and manage all credit risk management initiatives in the organization
  • Facilitates the development of risk mitigation strategies for the company critical risks and for monitoring these risks
  • Stakeholder management – coordinate with Capital and brand teams to ensure the effective credit risk management
  • Conduct client/dealer visits and monitor the financial status and credibility of strategic clients/dealers
  • Liaison with business team on introduction of new financing products in line with market/competition practices
  • Support risk management team in introduction/renewal/modification in credit models, early warning indicators, and system development & enhancements

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in large muti-national banks and captive finance companies
  • Strong understanding of credit underwriting, risk management, and related processes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate with various stakeholders
  • Exposure to Captive finance especially in Agriculture and Construction segments would be a plus
  • Demonstrated analytical and report writing skills
  • Demonstrated effective influencing & negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated effective time management & computer skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
