Job Description

This role will report directly to the Global Corporate Controller. As the AP Leader, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and overseeing our global Accounts Payable function. You will establish processes, drive automation (including AI-enabled improvements), develop internal controls, and grow a high-performing AP team to support the needs of a rapidly scaling, multinational organization. This is a critical leadership role within the broader Finance organization, suited for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment where needs evolve quickly.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and scale the Accounts Payable team to meet organizational needs
  • Hire, train, and mentor AP staff, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and career development
  • Establish a high-performance culture centered around accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee end-to-end AP operations across multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, approvals, and payments
  • Develop and maintain AP policies, procedures, SLAs, and controls
  • Ensure alignment with internal controls, financial reporting requirements, and audit standards
  • Lead the transformation and modernization of the AP function, including the implementation of automation and AI-driven tooling
  • Evaluate and optimize workflows, approval processes, and system integrations (ERP, vendor systems)
  • Drive standardization across global operations and implement best practices from shared service or scaled AP environments
  • Foster strong vendor relationships and manage vendor queries, escalations, and disputes
  • Partner with Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to improve data flow and process efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, invoice requirements, and statutory obligations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Prepare regular AP metrics, dashboards, and reporting for Finance, auditors, and leadership
  • Support month-end close activities and cash management forecasting

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, including leading or scaling AP teams in a multinational or high-growth environment
  • Prior experience building a shared services AP function or scaling AP operations is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of AP automation solutions
  • experience working with AI-driven or intelligent automation tools is highly desirable
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), AP workflows, and financial controls
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Strong process thinker with the ability to design scalable systems and workflows
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and large volumes of data
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective cross-functional collaboration
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
