Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented AP Coordinator to support a fast-paced administrative team in Stamford, Connecticut. This is a Long-term Contract position suited for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and can manage document handling and customer-facing tasks with accuracy and professionalism. The role focuses on providing operational support to the accounts payable function through organized mail processing, digital file management, and responsive administrative assistance.

Job Responsibility

  • Receive incoming mail and sort materials accurately to support daily accounts payable operations
  • Scan paper documents promptly and maintain clear, accessible electronic records
  • Route correspondence and supporting documents into the appropriate digital folders and tracking systems
  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP team to help keep workflows organized and on schedule
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries with professionalism and strong customer service skills
  • Enter and update information carefully in internal systems while maintaining data accuracy
  • Manage a high volume of documents and requests while prioritizing deadlines effectively
  • Support expense-related documentation and reconciliation processes as needed by the team

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative, customer service, or high-volume support role
  • Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a large volume of incoming materials
  • Comfortable handling scanning, filing, and document organization tasks throughout the day
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to support requests
  • Experience supporting accounts payable processes is helpful, but prior accounting experience is not required
  • Reliable organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in an onsite setting
