Are you an experienced Procurement Officer looking for a stable, long-term contract within the public sector? We are currently seeking an internal contractor to fill an AO4 Procurement Officer position. This is an initial 12-month role with a possible extension for a further 3 years.
Requirements:
Interpret, provide advice, and apply procurement policy and procedures in line with Whole of Government criteria
Monitor and review end-to-end procurement activity, including planning, documentation review, evaluation, and supply arrangements
Support complex procurement projects by undertaking administrative support functions under the direction of senior advisors
Provide guidance and training to the wider business, and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement processes
Establish and maintain spreadsheets and registers for accurate reporting
Respond to requests for information from various internal infrastructure and procurement teams
Manage the administrative side of assets and managed items, including sourcing, stocktake, useful life review, and disposal
Occasionally assist staff with contract management
Actively contribute to effective team operation and participate in performance conversations
Use generic software packages, including Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
Working hours are a maximum of 38 hours per week between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Days are capped at a maximum of 8 hours, and any overtime must be pre-approved
Public holidays are non-working days
