Randstad is currently recruiting for multiple Customer Service Officers for a role with Queensland State Government. In this role, you will negotiate appropriate actions to recover outstanding and finalising debts. We're looking for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, particularly when managing customer accounts. This is a high-priority, time-sensitive role with applications closing by the end of the day on Friday 20 March 2026. We are interviewing immediately to confirm an April 2026 start date for an initial 2-month assignment until June 2026, with potential for extension. This is a full-time working week on a rotating roster between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, paying a competitive rate of $51.12 per hour plus super.
Job Responsibility:
Providing a high-quality customer experience, you’ll approach situations with empathy and resilience
Effectively manage a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls and interactions regarding complex account and payment matters
Apply legislative knowledge to make informed decisions
Educate customers of policies and repayment procedures
Handle questions and complaints, escalating when needed, and keep accurate records
Requirements:
Experience gained within Banking, Insurance, Financial Services, or Sales environments will be highly regarded, specifically in roles focused on Complex Account Management, Conflict Resolution, or Debt Recovery
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex or sensitive situations
Demonstrated high-level proficiency in various computer systems and CRM platforms, with an ability to quickly adapt to new technology
Strong interpersonal abilities, with a background in working collaboratively within a team
Experience in interpreting and applying relevant legislation and procedures to ensure compliance
Ability to build relationships and effectively engage with a diverse range of customers
Proven ability to meet individual and team KPIs in a target-driven professional environment
A highly motivated individual, focused on achieving personal goals and actively supporting team success
Able to work on rotating shifts Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Must be able to pass a criminal history check to be successful for the role
