Randstad are proud to currently be partnering with a large State Government Department in recruiting an A03 Business Support Officer. This role is based in Brisbane South. The contract is 3 Months with potential for extension. This is a great opportunity to kick start your Public Sector career and develop fundamental skills in a supportive team.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing high level of administration support
  • Fast and accurate high volume data entry
  • Records management related tasks such as file sorting, renaming and correspondence management
  • Maintaining an effective records management system and managing computerised databases
  • Processing work orders, purchase orders and invoices
  • Prioritise tasks to ensure work is completed within designated timeframes
  • Complete any other ad hoc general administration duties to a high standard
  • Liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with team members and departmental staff in relation to unit activities
  • Encourage an innovative and dynamic team environment
  • Perform other tasks of a technical or administrative nature as directed by the Manager

Requirements

  • Work autonomously and achieve results with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
  • Work professionally at all times displaying initiative and drive to see that goals are achieved
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
