Under the guidance of the Manager of Anti-Doping Compliance this position will play a critical role in supporting the execution of UFC’s professional sports leading anti-doping program, including serving as a liaison between UFC athletes and the anti-doping program administrator.
Job Responsibility:
Conducts drug reference calls/communications with UFC athletes on the prohibited status of medications, dietary supplements, and methods
Operates the technology help hotline, required 24/7-hour help
Maintains daily athlete whereabouts updates on UFC roster
Assists with the execution of UFC athlete onboarding education sessions/calls, 24/7-hour help if necessary
Assists with in-person education classes
Reviews new UFC athlete onboarding including sample collection declaration forms
Oversees the operations and execution of the UFC’s anti-doping program at events
Supports new UFC athlete account setup in the anti-doping program portal
Maintains relationships with current and new UFC athletes and their management
Assists in reviewing medical records
including doctor office notes, surgery reports, imaging reports, and hospital records to help determine if medical treatment is within anti-doping policy guidelines
Tracks all paperwork received pertaining to UFC athletes and follows up with athletes/managers to obtain documents
Monitors athletes missed tests and whereabout failures by contacting athletes and managers
requesting documentation to account for missed reporting and inputs data of missed testing for athletes
Performs other clerical duties such as scanning, copying, distributing, and filing as needed
Maintains spreadsheets for a variety of purposes, using a wide range of information
Coordinates with departments in order to facilitate the maintenance and distribution of athlete information as necessary
Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
Experience working with a professional sports team, league, promotion, or in an agency capacity is preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must be flexible and responsive to evolving and changing business environments
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels of the organization
Outstanding organizational skills with excellent attentions to detail
Ability to quickly gain knowledge in anti-doping and medical terminology
Ability to maintain discretion and ensure confidentiality of information
