We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Field Antenna Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in supporting and maintaining operational readiness of our network of LEO tracking antennas. In this position, you’ll work closely with our Site Management team and our global network of Vendors, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. Job Responsibility:
Test, troubleshooting, commissioning and continuing support of Satellite Network Portals (SNP) build out and operation
Support of installation, commissioning, and integration with OneWeb Partners
Knowledge of rack integration, cable fabrication, cable terminations and interconnect wiring diagrams
Optimizing earth station antennas performing antenna patterns, G/T, and overall functionality
Ability to configure and test IP based network equipment and peripherals
Support operation, troubleshooting and diagnosis of field-related trouble calls, and issues associated with earth station and satellite network systems
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of satellite RF communications (Ku/Ka-Band)
Experience with LEO antennas, ACUs, RF components, and fiber systems
Basic understanding of IP networking
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning satellite or earth station systems
Experience with installation, integration, and field support activities
Skills in rack integration, cabling, and interconnections
Familiarity with ticketing systems and technical reporting
Nice to have:
Familiarity with the following equipment is desirable: LEO tracking antennas, Antenna Control Units (ACU)s, transmitters, antennas, antenna controls, motors, resolvers, LNAs, encoders, 3-phase power, signal routing, fiber optics
