Job Description

Masters prepared specialty anesthesiologist assistant working under the direction of a licensed anesthesiologist. Administers anesthesia protocols to patients and follows-up on after care. The supervising Anesthesiologist shall, at all times, be responsible for the activities of the Anesthesiologist Assistant. Limited to select locations based on unique workplace dynamics.

Job Responsibility

  • Administers anesthesia under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist
  • Administers the prescribed anesthetic with particular care to the cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolic health of the patient
  • Utilizes advanced treatment modalities
  • Consults with supervising anesthesiologist
  • Establishes a comprehensive patient database
  • Orders appropriate pre-op evaluations and pre-medications after consultation with the anesthesiologist
  • Initiates multi-parameter monitoring prior to anesthesia or in other acute care settings
  • Assists in the post-operative management of patients
  • Manages post-op ventilator support and acute pain management

Requirements

  • Masters' degree
  • Less than 1 Year of Experience
  • Cert Anesthesiologist Asst (AA-C) certification/license/registration
