The Senior Android Audio & DSP Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating the complete audio subsystem on Android Automotive–based infotainment platforms. The role involves Audio HAL customization, DSP pipeline integration, Audio tuning, and end-to-end debugging across voice, media, navigation, and projection use-cases (CarPlay / Android Auto / Alexa / Voice Assistants).
Job Responsibility:
Design and implement Android Audio framework components (Audio HAL, Policy Manager, and Routing)
Integrate DSP-based audio processing pipelines (Dirana, Qualcomm AudioReach, NXP SAF775x, TI TAS series, etc.)
Define and maintain signal-flow architecture from source to output (Mic → DSP → Speaker / BT / USB / Projection)
Collaborate with platform teams on ACDB configuration, audio calibration, and DSP firmware loading
Customize Audio HAL (vendor/qcom/audio/hal) for automotive-specific routing and new use-cases
Implement and validate A2DP, HFP, USB Audio, CarPlay, and Android Auto audio paths
Integrate voice recognition and ECNR (Echo Cancellation & Noise Reduction) chains for Alexa / Google Assistant
Develop and tune audio post-processing algorithms: Volume Control, Tone Control (Bass/Treble), Loudness, Fader/Balance, SDVC (Speed Dependent Volume Control), Limiter
Support multi-zone audio and ANC/VESS feature integration
Requirements:
8 – 12 years experience
B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Communication, or Computer Science
Strong understanding of Android Audio Framework (AudioFlinger, AudioPolicy, HAL)
Experience with Qualcomm AudioReach / ACDB and NXP Dirana / SAF775x / TI TAS / ADAU DSPs
Expertise in DSP processing blocks (filters, gains, equalizers, loudness, limiter)
