Job Description:

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Anaplan Model Builder to join our growing Corporate Finance function within the Strategic Finance team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain scalable Anaplan models that support Affirm’s planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. You’ll collaborate closely with FP&A, Accounting, and Data teams to translate business requirements into efficient, well-structured Anaplan solutions. This is a great opportunity to deepen your expertise in connected planning while working alongside an experienced Anaplan Solutions Architect and Senior Developer.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and enhance Anaplan models to support core FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, intuitive model designs using Anaplan best practices
  • Support and troubleshoot Anaplan processes—reconciling data with source systems, managing user access, and ensuring data integrity
  • Collaborate with FP&A stakeholders to streamline workflows and improve planning accuracy
  • Participate in system integrations and data pipeline improvements (e.g., Workday, Snowflake, Netsuite)
  • Create clear documentation of model logic, data flows, and key processes
  • Provide end-user support and contribute to adoption through hands-on guidance and training
  • Stay current with new Anaplan features and identify opportunities to enhance automation and efficiency
  • Design and build engaging Anaplan UX pages for end users, including Boards, Worksheets, and Reports

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience developing, maintaining, or enhancing Anaplan models
  • Certified Anaplan Model Builder (Level 2) required
  • Level 3 or Solution Architect certification a plus
  • Strong understanding of FP&A concepts (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, reporting)
  • Familiarity with data integration concepts and working with source systems such as Snowflake, Workday, or Netsuite
  • Experience with Anaplan capabilities such as Polaris, Workflow, and Management Reporting, as well as Anaplan for Excel (Anaplan XL)
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with working knowledge of SQL (or willingness to learn it quickly) to query and validate data from source systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive and self-driven work style
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field
What we offer:
  • Flexible Spending Wallets for tech, food and lifestyle
  • Away Days - wellness days to take off work and recharge
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Parental benefits
  • Employee Resource & Community Groups
  • Health care coverage - Affirm covers all premiums for all levels of coverage for you and your dependents
  • Flexible Spending Wallets - generous stipends for spending on Technology, Food, various Lifestyle needs, and family forming expenses
  • Time off - competitive vacation and holiday schedules allowing you to take time off to rest and recharge
  • ESPP - An employee stock purchase plan enabling you to buy shares of Affirm at a discount
