About Aladdin Data: Aladdin Data team is a part of BlackRock's Aladdin platform, which is a comprehensive investment and risk management system. The team is responsible for various aspects of data management and analytics delivery for our clients and BlackRock within the Aladdin ecosystem. About the Analytics Stewardship Team: Analytics Stewardship team brings together the functional expertise and responsibilities within the Aladdin Data organization to ensure Aladdin’s investment and risk analytics meets highest standard of quality and are delivered at scale. Analytics Stewards act as owners of the analytics solutions supported by the Aladdin Data platform and aspire to continuously grow and improve the analytics estate while increasing its commercial value. We partner closely with Client Business, Product, Engineering, Operation and broader Aladdin Data teams on design, improvement, development and deployment of new and existing analytics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with Product and Client teams to understand end‑users’ analytical data needs
  • Translate business requirements into technical proposals by designing new or enhancing existing end‑to‑end analytics solutions—including data ingestion, production workflows, and delivery mechanisms
  • Build proofs of concept that demonstrate feasibility and collaborate with partner teams to advance solution development
  • Serve as the technical project manager, coordinating across Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to prioritize, build, and deliver analytics products
  • Engage with internal and external clients during pilot phases, providing support, gathering feedback for iterative improvement, and enabling Client Business teams for ongoing support
  • Think strategically to define and mature core technical building blocks (e.g., data platforms, production toolkits, AI capabilities), unlocking commercial value incrementally and accelerating future product development
  • Provide expertise across analytical data and platforms to respond to evolving business needs, market changes, regulatory updates, and newly introduced financial products.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in capital market, investments, or financial technology industry, managing investment, risk, and/or performance analytics from modeling, data, or services perspective
  • Understanding of single security risk models and portfolio risk & return methodologies
  • Track record of working with financial markets, investment and risk analytics, and data management functions
  • Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives, with strong communication skills and project management ability
  • Degree in finance, engineering, mathematics, quantitative or related discipline. Bachelor’s degree is required. Advance degree preferred.
  • Proficient with technical tools such as SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebook, Unix commands, etc.

Nice to have:

  • Aladdin experiences from capital market, financial services firms is a plus
  • Experience working within Agile project management frameworks is a plus (including tooling such as Azure DevOps)
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation is a plus.
