Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead two teams: the Analytics and Insight team and the Search team. The Analytics and Insight team is responsible for the process of the data & that builds and delivers the data products and features our internal and external users rely on to make better decisions. The Search team is responsible for our internal search engine and our integration of external search engines. As we are moving toward an AI powered product, you will be responsible to lead the teams on AI topics. You will be at the heart of both strategic and technical decisions, with a strong impact on the product's evolution. You will be a key driver in defining the product roadmap, blending technical strategy with a deep understanding of user needs and business value.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead two teams of 9 developers in total, ensuring the quality of deliverables, production, and team performance
  • Actively contribute to the development, operation, and support of analytics and search features and services
  • Leverage the teams to establish and drive the technical vision in alignment with product goals
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap based data analysis and business objectives, ensuring alignment with the overall company vision
  • Mentor, coach, and grow engineers while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
  • Work with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver the vision

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development (ideally Python and SQL)
  • 5+ years of proven experience in team management and engineering mentorship
  • Strong understanding of high-usage, service-based architectures
  • Excellent ability to communicate ideas, technical plans, and strategies clearly and precisely
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into technical and product requirements and manage a product backlog (e.g., using tools like Jira or similar)
  • Experience with product analytics tools and a strong data-informed decision-making mindset
