Job Description

The Analytics Product Owner owns the vision, prioritization, and delivery of analytics products that enable data‑driven decision‑making across the business. This role operates at the intersection of business, data, and technology—translating complex business needs into clear, actionable analytics work. You will own the analytics backlog end‑to‑end, facilitate agile execution, and ensure the analytics team is delivering high‑quality, trustworthy insights aligned with both strategic priorities and near‑term business needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating clarity, making trade‑offs, and helping analytics teams focus on outcomes—not just output.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and maintain the analytics product backlog, translating business objectives into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize work based on business value, effort, and risk—balancing strategic initiatives with urgent business needs
  • Ensure all analytics work aligns with agreed-upon outcomes and stakeholder expectations
  • Lead agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Actively manage work in JIRA: ticket creation, prioritization, dependency tracking, and status updates
  • Monitor delivery timelines, manage trade-offs, and proactively communicate risks and progress to stakeholders and leadership
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, finance, and operations to gather requirements and set realistic expectations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for analytics requests, ensuring clarity before work enters the backlog
  • Translate technical progress into clear, business-friendly updates
  • Ensure analytics deliverables are accurate, documented, and usable by decision-makers
  • Remove blockers for the analytics team and facilitate smooth cross-functional communication
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics workflows, documentation, and agile practices
  • Perform occasional light technical tasks such as simple dashboard updates using existing data models

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Analytics Product Manager, or Project Manager in an analytics, data, or SaaS environment
  • Strong experience running agile ceremonies and managing delivery for analytics or data teams
  • Hands-on experience managing complex backlogs and cross-team dependencies in JIRA
  • Ability to write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for analytics and data work
  • Solid understanding of analytics concepts such as dashboards, reporting, metrics, and data pipelines
  • Experience making prioritization decisions with incomplete or evolving information
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Basic experience modifying dashboards in Power BI or a comparable BI tool using pre-built data models
  • English proficiency: TOEFL (or equivalent) ≥ 90

Nice to have

  • Experience working closely with data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists
  • SaaS or technology business analytics experience
  • Familiarity with Databricks
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices
  • Experience using Git (any platform)
  • Experience in scaled agile or multi-team environments
  • Background in product management or data-driven organizations
  • Prior experience working with a US-based technology company or startup
  • English proficiency: TOEFL (or equivalent) ≥ 90
