Job Description

The Analytics Engineer III’s primary objective is to identify and develop solutions to the needs of ACV and its customers. This role is focused primarily on designing and executing analysis for business needs in our Inspections and Prescreen domains.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and analyze large data models
  • Build reports and dashboards to give stakeholders visibility into relevant metrics
  • Act with minimal supervision to present analysis of a business area to stakeholders and support follow on questions, converting business questions into technical requirements
  • Identify root cause for any KPI drift and make recommendations for cure
  • Improve our user experience through robustly designed AB tests
  • Present recommendations on initiative priority and influence stakeholders through data and thoughtful interpretation of findings
  • Independent project ownership. Identify and organize key stakeholders, define scope, timeline, and execution of implementation plan without supervision
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Statistics, Operations Research, or similar computationally intensive degree -or- college or university degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • 5-10 years of relevant, professional work experience related to position
  • Experience leading and directing small projects, peer recognition, and excellence in analytics delivery
  • Understanding of project management skills and the ability to implement those across multiple program
  • Ability to navigate conflicting technical requirements and work collaboratively across projects towards a win-win solution
  • Strong Experience with Python (strong emphasis on pandas, numpy, plotting)
  • Strong Professional Experience with MySQL / BigQuery
  • Experience with data visualization / dashboarding tools like Tableau
  • Experience doing complex queries and transformations on large data set
  • Good scripting and functional programming skills
  • Expertise in exploratory data analysis and the basics of data-driven reasoning are a must

Nice to have

  • dbt experience
  • MS in Statistics, Operations Research, or similar computationally intensive degree
