Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Associate who will use data research capabilities to translate business problems into analyses, develop reports, participate in projects, assist with troubleshooting, and work on data research projects. The role requires ensuring adherence to data management regulations and providing data analysis for global stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

Use data research capabilities to translate business problems into analyses
Develop standard and customized reports or ad hoc analyses
Provide updates to project logs, monthly budget forecasts, and contribute to newsletters
Participate in projects including assisting systems support group with design, programming, research, testing, and implementation
Assist in troubleshooting production or issuance issues
Assist with developing departmental and division procedures, policies, and controls
Work on data and business research projects
Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations
Extract and analyze data from multiple technology systems to identify risk factors
Consult with business line and enterprise functions on research
Understand compliance and risk management requirements
Perform analysis of findings using statistical analysis
Build easy to use visualization and perform data analysis
Test key reports and produce process documentation
Present recommendations to maximize operational efficiency
Identify and define business requirements
Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses

Requirements:

6+ months of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Experience in Analytics
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk programs and applicability of risk management framework
Experience identifying internal and external data sources from multiple sources across the business
Experience with SQL, Teradata, or SAS and Database Management systems like Teradata and MS SQL Server
Experience in risk (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk)
Experience in data visualization and business intelligence tools
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Demonstrated strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong presentation skills and ability to translate and present data
Strong writing skills - ability to translate data sets and conclusions into business/executive format
Ability to support multiple projects with tight timelines
Meta Data management, Data Lineage, Data Element Mapping, Data Documentation experience
Experience researching and resolving data problems and working with technology teams
Hands-on proficiency with Python, Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Power apps), Tableau, or SAS
Knowledge of Defect management tools like HP ALM
Knowledge of Data Governance
