Proclinical is seeking an Analytical Project Lead to join a dynamic team specializing in the development of synthetic molecules. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytical techniques to support the development and release of clinical trial products, ensuring their readiness for commercial supply. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge pharmaceutical innovation while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the Analytical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead the development of analytical control packages for synthetic molecules, including intermediates and APIs
  • Drive process development analytics using modern techniques such as modeling and simulation
  • Coach and mentor junior scientists and technicians, providing guidance on project work
  • Oversee laboratory activities internally and testing activities at external partners (CLOs/CDMOs)
  • Collaborate with research, regulatory, and quality teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Author, review, and approve critical regulatory documents, such as NDAs, ensuring compliance with quality standards and data integrity
  • Act as a Chemistry Project Lead (CPL), managing external testing activities and contributing to team development

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field
  • Strong expertise in liquid chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC) and detection methods such as UV, Mass Spectrometry (MS), fluorescence, and charged aerosol detection
  • Solid understanding of analytical chemistry, including chromatographic techniques, titrations, and physicochemical methods
  • Proven experience in analytical development for synthetic drug substances
  • Excellent collaboration, technical supervision, and project management skills
  • Digital proficiency, including familiarity with statistical analysis of analytical data
  • Fluency in English
  • proficiency in German is a plus
