Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and send RFQs to potential suppliers based on project requirements and specifications
  • Collect and organize supplier responses, ensuring all necessary information is received
  • Conduct detailed bid analysis, comparing supplier quotes based on price, quality, delivery time, and other relevant factors
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and select the best suppliers
  • Maintain accurate records of RFQs, bids, and supplier communications
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and competitive quotes
  • Provide regular updates and reports on RFQ and bid analysis activities to management
  • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with selected suppliers
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed procurement decisions
  • Support the strategic planning process of Bombardier’s Supply Chain organization
  • Ensure Supply Chain overall strategy meets and support’s Bombardier’s corporate strategy
  • Lead cross-organizational reviews and strategic initiatives within Supply Chain strategy
  • Communicate on a regular basis with key stakeholders, especially with executives, on the progress of the projects under your responsibility
  • Develop a network of internal and external contacts to support information-gathering and analysis

Requirements

  • You hold an undergraduate degree with a strong concentration in an analytical discipline
  • Graduate or master's degree in operations management or a Master of Business Administration (MBA), would be an asset
  • You have a minimum of three (3) years of direct professional experience in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace sector or otherwise a complex manufacturing environment
  • You have strong research & analytical skills with a commitment to rigor and attention to details
  • You have knowledge of the aerospace industry and contracting processes (an asset)
  • You have ability for synthesis and for presentation of complex information
  • You can be discrete when dealing with highly confidential matters
  • You can multi-task under a highly demanding and continuously changing environment
  • You can communicate with all levels of the organization (from senior management to staff)
  • You have a strong team spirit and informal leadership abilities (leading without formal authority), and you demonstrate flexibility
  • You can meet tight deadlines
  • You are proficient in Intermediate PowerPoint and Advanced Excel
  • You can work in English and French on a daily basis
  • knowledge of Spanish is an asset but not required
