Job Description

KIPP Texas is seeking an Analyst for Strategic Accounting Projects to enhance financial systems, support compliance, and streamline accounting processes across the organization. This role focuses on system administration, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration between Finance, IT, and HR.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the administrator for Concur Expense and Travel, overseeing configuration, issue resolution, and vendor relationships
  • Design, implement, and manage system rollouts, enhancements, and integrations
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, training, and resources
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate system performance
  • Support accounting operations, including check run reviews, deposit processes, and invoice reconciliation
  • Oversee credit card program controls
  • Ensure audit readiness by executing financial controls
  • Partner with Accounts Payable and Budget Analysts to resolve discrepancies
  • Research and document Finance process flows to identify inefficiencies
  • Recommend and support the implementation of automation and process improvements
  • Manage and maintain Finance-related content on The Net
  • Design and deliver finance-related training through Articulate 360
  • Support cross-functional projects focused on systems optimization and financial process improvements
  • Drive strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and reporting accuracy
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and HR teams
  • Present process updates, reports, and recommendations to leadership
  • Support or lead special projects as assigned
  • Act as a subject matter expert for staff navigating finance systems and processes
  • Provide proactive training, mentorship, and support to colleagues
  • Contribute to Finance communication strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of one year of progressive experience in accounting, finance operations, or systems administration
  • Expertise with financial systems (Concur Expense and Travel, and Sage Intacct preferred)
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects or system implementations strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze and report on financial data
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong self-initiative and time management skills
