Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and help grow the product safety culture at Bombardier
  • Advise management on product safety matters
  • Develop Safety Management System (SMS) standards and tools
  • Develop SMS training material and deliver SMS training sessions
  • Assess the effectiveness of SMS implementation
  • Participate in advisory groups with companies and organizations in the aerospace industry
  • Coordinate and lead product safety activities within Bombardier
  • Manage strategic projects by coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Facilitate problem solving work sessions
  • Define and map business processes (operational and transactional)
  • Develop communication material

Requirements:

  • technical college degree or bachelor’s in aerospace or in another technical related field
  • minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry
  • knowledgeable of SMS related regulations and international standards (SM-001)
  • experience with project management principles and tools (an asset)
  • experience with risk management principles and tools (an asset)
  • experience in complex problem-solving tools (PSS)
  • demonstrate teamwork abilities and are innovative
  • possess strong interpersonal skills
  • possess leadership abilities and are skilled at influencing others
  • bilingual both orally and in writing in French & English (required)
  • master the Microsoft Office suite
