Job Responsibility:
Own the development and management of the Program strategies, schedules and budget of project portfolio
Manage project portfolio within the organization of the program office (Plan, Organize, Direct and Control)
Manage governance related to your work package, establish metrics to monitor performance and progress, and prepare the necessary content (agenda, strategy, proposed schedule, profitability analysis, etc.)
Establish & present project Program schedules and business cases, and guide the cross functional team towards defined project milestones
Lead and facilitate project integration, evaluation and execution with internal and external stakeholders
Manage risks & opportunities associated with your portfolio of projects
Provide support and prioritization to team members both internally and externally
Mentor junior analysts
Resolve complex project issues by using your knowledge and experience
Control Program costs (manpower, material and other direct costs), support negotiations with suppliers and other stakeholders in terms of Program schedule, technical scope and commercial impact
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, project management or another relevant discipline
Have a minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in a complex manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred) including project/program management
Demonstrated experience in project management, operations management and contract management
Show clear enthusiasm in developing your skills and acquiring further experience in project management methodologies, and financial governance
Have direct knowledge of manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry from the factory floor (asset)
Have strong communication, facilitation, influencing and stakeholder/interpersonal management skills at all levels
Show an ability to lead and guide without formal authority
Are on the lookout for new trends in the aerospace field and continuous improvement
Demonstrate a facility to manage multiple priorities and overcome setbacks
Like to have a high level of responsibility
Are recognized as having a high level of initiative, autonomy, and innovation, and have a good practical sense
Analytical mindset for metrics and performance tracking
Master Microsoft Office and Teams tools including MS Project
Can work on site at our Pearson facility (Toronto) at least two (2) days per week, sometimes more, as required
Can travel for work up to 25% to Montreal or to international locations, depending on business needs
Nice to have:
An ability to work in Spanish and/or French is not required but would be considered an asset
