Job Description

Responsible for managing specific tasks and processes and providing content to various reports and communications within the department. Responsible for various analyses and assuring commentary and notations are correct and accurately reflected in the reports. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the other accounting and finance functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepares Financial, Management and Ad Hoc reports and identifies potential opportunities for improvement to reports, reporting processes or formats
  • Learns business drivers and their effect on financial results
  • Utilizes accounting reports, and ensures that monthly accounting/reporting close activities and variance analyses are adequately and properly prepared, and maintained in a timely manner
  • Works with Accounting Operations teams to get transactions recorded properly in line with reporting requirements
  • Performs detail review of work submitted by Accountants and provides functional advice, guidance, and training
  • Understands business drivers and their effect on financial results to ensure business changes are accurately reflected in the financial statements, analysis and communication
  • Uses accounting concepts, experience, analytical skills and knowledge of industry to resolve issues in creative and effective ways, and to ensure that appropriate judgment is applied

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2+ years of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
