Job Description

You will be responsible for supporting Senior Recovery Managers in the management of Distressed Assets assignments in the Americas. The role offers great exposure to a variety of transactions (various Product lines/instruments, industries (Real Estate, Energy/Power/Project Finance, Corporate, Trade Finance, Global Markets products) and geography (USA, Canada, Latam) depending of the files assignments.

Job Responsibility

  • Support Senior Recovery Managers in the management of Distressed Assets assignments in the Americas
  • Analyze the problem situation, assess all legal and financial options, including in preparing financial models and running valuations, and devise suitable recovery strategies
  • Participate in deal teams in the structuration, negotiation and implementation of restructurings both in and out of court, in the Americas
  • Support Recovery Managers in proposing appropriate action plans, preparing credit papers and requests for loan restructurings and amendments to obtain requisite approval
  • Autonomously prepare periodic reports, monitor files from performances and risk, and update bank systems accordingly
  • Participate in various committees in support of Recovery Managers as required
  • Prepare other reports and perform a variety of tasks as needed including Portfolio Monitoring
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory and internal requirements

Requirements

  • Be less than 29 years old
  • Be graduated of Master Degree
  • Be EU citizen
  • Postgraduate of a Master degree from an University, a Business or a Engineering School with a specialization in Finance or Economics
  • A first experience in legal review (contract law, bankruptcy law) and/or Corporate and Investment Banking is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills: credit analysis, financial modelling including valuation (DCF, Multiples, debt sustainability, liquidity…)
  • Good knowledge of the debt/loan capital markets is a plus
  • Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of external data providers systems (S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg...)
  • Fluent in English and in French
  • Knowledge in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work and interact effectively with the other Departments

Nice to have

  • A first experience in legal review (contract law, bankruptcy law) and/or Corporate and Investment Banking is a plus
  • Good knowledge of the debt/loan capital markets is a plus
