The Data Quality team within Data Quality & Sources team in the AI and Data Office is responsible for developing and driving Mastercard’s data quality program. This team ensures that Mastercard governs the data and tooling that powers products and services across Mastercard. We innovate to increase the value of Mastercard’s data assets, protect the integrity of the Mastercard network, and ensure we continue to adapt to changes in the ecosystem, enabling new forms of payment, new players in the ecosystem and expanding collection and use of data to support new lines of business. The Enterprise Data Quality & Sources team is responsible for ensuring data is of the highest quality and is fit-for-purpose to support business and analytic uses. The team works to identify and prioritize opportunities for data quality improvement, develops strategic mitigation plans and coordinates remediation activities with technical teams and product team business owners. It also drives the creation of curated merchant data to improve the quality and availability of data for the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Govern the data of regional and global prioritized data assets (by merchants, industries, markets, and other dimensions) to ensure the highest quality of Mastercard data possible for products and services, as directed by Data Quality team management
Protect the integrity of the Mastercard network by monitoring data quality trends and establishing dashboards and alerts for remediation via technical platforms and compliance programs
Actively work the queue and approval of user-submitted data corrections
Support and develop dashboards to monitor data quality
Analyze new data assets to provide new data types, coverage, and better data quality for end users
Support product team questions and onboarding to enterprise assets
Engage technical and business partners (internal and external) to remediate issues found
Requirements:
Experience with B2B and B2C data governance and stewardship processes preferred
Knowledge of multiple AP region languages, geography and business structures preferred
Passion for research (automated and human-based) and eagerness to understand and form complex merchant business relationships
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience in relationship building and partnering
Understanding of Mastercard platforms and applications and related business processes preferred
High-level understanding of master data management tools (Reltio, Informatica, etc.), and AI
Strong analytic capabilities and experience using technologies such as SQL, Hadoop/Spark, and business intelligence tools (PowerBI/Tableau/etc.)
Motivated self-starter with ability to excel at multi-tasking and solving problems in a fast-paced environment
