Job Description:

Actuarial Analyst position at CVS Health supporting large claim accruals for monthly financial close. The role involves using Excel VBA and SQL to analyze reserve estimates, working with business partners to incorporate feedback, and participating in projects to improve case reserve accuracy.

Job Responsibility:

Support the process of setting large claim accruals for each monthly financial close
Leverage Excel VBA and SQL to summarize initial and final reserve estimates
Dive deep into the data to derive answers about case reserve estimates
Support communication with business partners in Claim Ops, Finance, and MEU
Support periodic studies to improve default estimates for case reserves
Ad-hoc valuation actuarial projects including standardization of Medicaid LCAD, automation of LCAD

Requirements:

Minimum of one actuarial exam passed
Currently progressing toward attaining the ASA designation
1+ years of experience in a professional environment
6+ months of experience in analytics or finance or equivalent experience
Experience using Microsoft products with high proficiency in Excel
High level of personal drive, technical acumen, and communication

Nice to have:

Ability to meet tight deadlines for monthly financial close
Foundational technical, analytical, and communication skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
SQL and VBA coding skills along with model building experience
