Job Responsibility:

  • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
  • Accurately accept customers' food and drink orders
  • Serve patrons food and beverages
  • Accurately communicate guests' orders to chefs and bartenders
  • Collect payment from guests
  • Assist in setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups or private parties
  • Deliver a memorable dining experience by resolving customer issues promptly
  • Provide attentive service including refilling drinks and checking on diners
  • Maintain table settings by replenishing utensils and removing courses
  • Anticipate and accommodate guest needs professionally
  • Perform cleaning duties in the service station, kitchen, and dining area

Requirements:

  • Prior serving experience particularly in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate a professional demeanor with guests and other employees
  • Strong communication skills including written, reading, and verbal
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow basic restaurant floor plan, menus and instructions
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems and make sound decisions in an ever-changing restaurant landscape
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during service
  • Ability to remain calm, professional and gracious in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to be prompt and punctual to scheduled shifts
