Job Description:

The Compliance AML Core Officer (Advisory) is a strategic professional responsible for providing advice, guidance, and support on AML compliance matters and ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements. This role involves engaging with stakeholders, creating training materials, implementing AML policies, and assessing risk with transparency. The position requires expertise in the field of AML and payments risk management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expert guidance on AML requirements ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • support business and operation functions with AML related queries, risk assessments and policy interpretation and implementation
  • possess strong knowledge of payment intermediaries, transaction flows and relevant regulations such as Payment service act and PSN 01/02, and provide advice on AML related risk associated with payments industry
  • engage with internal and external stakeholders including senior management and clients to ensure alignment of AML requirements and risk management activities
  • evaluate, enhance and implement best-in-class AML Compliance policies and practices
  • create, develop and deliver relevant training to business and functional partners
  • operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
  • assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and adherence to applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior and business practices
  • escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years relevant experience
  • AML Certification preferred
  • consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • self-motivated and detail oriented
  • advanced analytical skills
  • ability to both work independently and collaborate with team members
  • proficient in Excel and Word – ability to learn multiple system applications quickly
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
