Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Americas Tax Director to join our team in North Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will provide expert tax leadership, offering insights to guide business decisions and ensure compliance with tax regulations. You will work closely with various departments and external advisors to optimize tax outcomes and strengthen operational processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to commercial, finance, and operations teams, integrating tax considerations into strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate across departments to anticipate potential tax implications of business initiatives and enhance outcomes
  • Lead the transition to in-house income tax return preparation, mentoring the tax manager and implementing efficient processes
  • Foster relationships with external advisors to maximize value and support for the organization
  • Monitor legislative changes in the region, identifying risks and opportunities for the company
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state income tax filings, annual provisions, and true-ups
  • Manage sales and use tax compliance for multiple businesses across states, with support from the Global Indirect Tax team
  • Strengthen tax reporting and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with global standards
  • Drive improvements in tax compliance processes through technology, automation, and industry best practices
  • Represent the company in interactions with tax authorities, ensuring audit readiness and managing audits effectively

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in corporate tax compliance and annual income tax provision preparation
  • Strong knowledge of ATX tax software and other compliance tools
  • Extensive experience in managing corporate income tax processes
  • Ability to develop and implement efficient tax workflows and automation solutions
  • Skilled in building relationships with external advisors and internal stakeholders

  • Partner across the organization to anticipate tax impacts of business initiatives and optimize outcomes
  • Lead the transition to in-house income tax return preparation, developing the incumbent US tax manager and implementing smarter processes
  • Build relationships with external advisors to maximise the value received by the Group from those relationships
  • Stay ahead of legislative change in the region and identify risk and opportunities for the group arising from that change
  • Work closely with the newly appointed Regional Financial controller to represent Group Finance in the region
  • Oversee, review and develop the incumbent US tax manager in their work on U.S. federal and state income tax filings, annual provision, and annual true-ups
  • Lead oversight for sales and use tax compliance across multiple businesses and states
  • Ensure accurate reporting for BEAT and FDII as necessary
  • Lead the strengthening of tax reporting and forecasting in region to report to the Global Direct Tax Senior Manager and team
