This role can be based at one of our key U.S. operations hubs with travel across regional sites, you will be an Americas Regional Health Safety and Environmental Manager. The Regional HSE Manager is a strategic, hands-on leader who partners with the Americas Vice President of Operations, Business Unit Directors, and site leadership to drive a world-class Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability culture across a multi-site network. This high-visibility role has direct impact across manufacturing and distribution operations, leading HSE strategy, standardization, and risk reduction efforts to deliver measurable improvements in safety and sustainability performance. Serving as a key connector between site teams and Corporate HSE, this role aligns priorities, drives consistency, and implements best practices across locations while influencing operational leadership at all levels.

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to the development and advancement of global HSE standards and best practices as a member of the Global HSE Leadership Team
  • Support the HSE audit program, including leading site self-audits and driving corrective action plans across the Americas region
  • Analyze HSE metrics and trends, partnering with site and business leaders to implement data-driven improvement initiatives
  • Lead and support HSE risk assessments, including Safety Kaizen events, applying the hierarchy of controls to reduce risk and strengthen site performance
  • Mentor site leadership on incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • lead response efforts for significant incidents and crisis management situations
  • Provide regulatory and technical HSE guidance to site operations and regional leadership, including compliance with U.S., Canadian, and Mexican regulatory requirements
  • Ensure HSE management systems are effectively implemented and standardized across sites in alignment with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements
  • Drive regional HSE and sustainability improvement initiatives, ensuring execution and accountability across sites
  • Lead HSE integration efforts for acquisitions and divestitures within the region, as assigned
  • Align and lead regional HSE teams to identify and address shared risks and opportunities across sites and business units
  • Provide functional leadership and oversight to site HSE leaders, building capability and driving performance consistency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
  • 11+ years of progressive HSE experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHMM, or CIH preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50–70%
  • Strong working knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, including ergonomics, machine safety, environmental permitting, and waste management
  • Proven experience leading sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders to develop and execute strategic initiatives
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to coach across multiple levels and locations
  • Proven ability to drive cultural change in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable, results-driven plans
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • Serve as a regional subject matter expert for Americas (or EMEA/APAC) EHS matters, providing guidance to sites and functional teams.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Devise risk assessments and safety audits templates
  • track and report metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Site Leads, Security Operations, People, Legal, Workplace Experience, and Facilities teams to ensure safe practices are embedded across all work environments (including remote and hybrid settings)
