Provide strategic and operational oversight of AMEB Tasmania, supporting the delivery of statewide examinations, partnerships and promotional activities. Make a meaningful impact on music education in Tasmania through a senior role with a respected national organisation and strong community connections. Full-time fixed-term role based in Hobart, until June 2027, with potential extension subject to funding.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the effective planning and delivery of theory and practical examinations across Tasmania, with a focus on identifying and nurturing new and emerging markets for AMEB, including Rockschool, musical theatre and online exams
Lead the day‑to‑day operations and administration of AMEB Tasmania, ensuring efficient systems, high‑quality customer service, and effective coordination of administrative staff
Promote AMEB products and services across Tasmania, including the development and delivery of workshops, masterclasses and concerts that support engagement across regional communities
Manage and coordinate the Tasmanian Examining Panel and examiners, identifying capability needs and maintaining strong stakeholder communication and engagement
Represent AMEB Tasmania at State Manager Conferences and relevant arts and education forums, contributing to organisational strategy, planning and continuous improvement at a national level
Requirements:
Completion of a bachelor degree in a relevant area, or a combination of education, training, and experience commensurate with the requirements of the position
Demonstrated high level written and oral communication/presentation skills with advanced computer literacy, including competence in Office 365 applications and database operations
Strong administration, organisation and analytical/evaluation skills with a demonstrated ability to manage workflows and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the capability to effectively liaise with all levels of the organisation and to work in a flexible and collaborative manner with stakeholders towards effective delivery of successful outcomes
Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute positively to the AMEB national team environment, and commitment to continuous self and operational improvement
