The Ambulatory Service Representative (ASR) welcomes patients and families and performs check-in procedures in a timely, customer friendly and efficient manner in accordance with VCH guidelines. Responsible for the patients' pre and in-person registration including the accurate capture and validation of demographic and insurance information, insurance eligibility, and the collection of co-payment, deductible and other known self-pay amounts. Partners with providers to schedule new referrals and follow up appointments for patients and coordinates appointments with other departments Participates in department projects that result in process improvements to support accomplishment of strategic initiatives.

Requirements:
High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Minimum two (2) years Clerical and/or healthcare experience
Computer Skills Proficient computer skills and aptitude
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills as well as the ability to problem solve effectively and handle multiple priorities.
