Job Description:

The AM Server position at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center involves serving food and beverages to guests, ensuring customer service excellence, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to company and safety standards. The role also emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and compliance with company policies.

Job Responsibility:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
set tables according to type of event and service standards
answer questions on menu selections
communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability
communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
record transactions in MICROS system at time of order
check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage
maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights
present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment
welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
anticipate and address guest service needs
assist individuals with disabilities
speak with others using clear and professional language
develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
support team to reach common goals
listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or entire work shift
ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and up and down stairs
ability to bend, twist, pull, and stoop
adherence to company policies and confidentiality of proprietary information
compliance with safety training and certifications.
